Catch
OUT! Caught. Harris to Panesar. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, mis-timed to short extra cover, fielded by Rogers. Panesar with his feet deep in the crease just wafted to Rogers at short extra cover and England's torment is over.

Australia have been ruthless in this Test match and England just haven't been able to live with them. England dropped catches on the first day and allowed Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin to take Australia to 570-9 declared. Getting bowled out for 172 in their first innings on such a flat pitch then left them with a mountain to climb. England's batting improved slightly in the second innings but the willingness to fight and graft out long Test match innings seems to be missing at the minute. Too many batsmen are playing big shots without thinking of the consequences.

It was a complete team performance from Australia. They were superb in the field and with the ball. Mitchell Johnson's 7-40 in the first innings was a stunning individual effort but as a unit they have preyed on England's brittle batting line up. Both teams go to Perth on Friday and Australia could regain the Ashes there at a venue where England have lost their last six Test matches.
