Club Open Days, supported by Waitrose

Club Open Days is back for 2016, and it promises to be the biggest and best yet!

The initiative is designed to support cricket clubs across England and Wales in opening their doors to new members and becoming more involved in the community. Hosting a Club Open Day is a particularly great way to welcome new families and children into your club and this year, we want to encourage all clubs to invite local children and families to join them in their day of fun.

In partnership with Waitrose, we have some great incentives (listed below) to help your club deliver a memorable event.

This year, we are also urging clubs to host an event during July and August. These months promise to be the height of a fantastic ‘Summer of Cricket’ so by holding your event during this time, we can help you get as many new members as possible along to your Open Day.

Club benefits

Clubs that register for a Club Open Day will receive fantastic benefits, including:

  • £100 voucher to spend at your local Waitrose store.
  • Dedicated contact at your local Waitrose store to support the event.
  • An event goodies box to support the event.
  • Access to the official marketing toolkit to promote your event to families and children.
  • Entry into the prize draw for the chance to win some great prizes for your club.
  • A Kwik Cricket set for your club to entertain the new families and children.

Please note:

  • Clubs must host an Open Day between 27 May and 4 September 2016 to be eligible to receive the support listed above.
  • The £100 voucher and event goodies box are limited to the first 1,500 registered clubs.
  • The Kwik Cricket sets are limited to the first 500 registered clubs.
