The last game of the Twenty20 series between the England and Australia Visually Impaired cricket teams was washed out at Feckenham CC, meaning a 2-0 England victory.

Following the same fate for the first match on Sunday, the hosts won both legs of a double-header yesterday at Leamington CC to take revenge for Australia’s 3-0 one-day whitewash.

Luke Sugg, England captain for the T20 rubber, said: "I'm delighted to win the T20 series. There have been some excellent contributions throughout both series.

The England Visually Impaired cricket team gained revenge for Australia's one-day whitewash by winning the T20 series 2-0

“Andy Powers consistently performed and Matt Dean showed his experience with the bat. I was also pleased to be able to contribute and relished the role of captaining the side in the T20 series.

"It was a bit frustrating not to get all the games in as we don't get together as a team that often, but there is nothing we can do about the weather.

"We'll all go back to playing club Disability Cricket now and the England squad will come together again later in the year, before the Visually Impaired World Cup in India in December."
