England Deaf team hold nerve
England made it three wins out of five at the Deaf Cricket World Cup in India after holding their nerve to beat South Africa.
Having already suffered two defeats in the tournament, England knew they could not afford another slip-up and produced an impressive batting performance.
Stefan Pichowski (57) and Mike O’Mahony (52) both made half-centuries as England posted 221 for nine from their 50 overs.
South Africa made a creditable attempt to reach their target and set up a tense finish but Paul Allen claimed three crucial wickets to dismiss them for 211 in the final over.
