Hill to lead ambitious plan

Northants Recreational Cricket has appointed Andy Hill as Community Development Coach.

A primary part of Hill's role will be in the development and delivery of the county disability programme which has just been launched.

This is a really important and exciting initiative for Northamptonshire who have the ambitious plan to create a full disability player pathway with the aim of creating and maintaining four county representative teams in time to compete at national level in 2014.

Hill is an ECB Level 2 qualified coach and has coaching and playing experience in Australia and the UK. He has previously worked for the South Northants District coaching and managing the under-11 to under-15 squads and has also coached Northamptonshire age group squads.

Hill has been coaching since the age of 16 and spent the past summer delivering the ‘Chance to Shine’ project.
