England Deaf captain Umesh Valjee will play for the South East in the Indoor Regional Cup Knockout which takes place on 10 March

The squads for the Indoor Regional Cup Knockout at Shrewsbury School on Saturday 10 March have been announced.

This year's tournament, which pitches the country's best deaf cricketers against each other, has been expanded from two teams to four.

A number of England players will be in action on the day, ensuring a high level of competition.

England Deaf captain Umesh Valjee will feature for the South East while international team-mates and seam bowlers Paul Allen and James Dixon are selected for the Midlands.

Stephen George, who picked up a five-wicket haul in last year's Deaf Ashes, will turn out for the South West and there are places in the North squad for England pair Andy Wood and Darrell Sykes.


South East: Umesh Valjee, Saul Allison, farooq Mohamed, Mozzam Mohamed, Mike O'Mahony, Simon Lycett, Chris Harrison, Sunil Sager, Jeffery Khan, Neil Magdani.

South West: Stephen George, Michael Weathersby, George Greenway, Jamie Sorbie, Tom Sorbie, Andy Sheygan, Mark Woodman, Hugo Whitlock, Oliver Milsom.

Midlands: Paul Allen, Matt Clinton, James Schofield, Sam Chrichard, Joel Harris, Nitesh Chavda, Eddie McShane, James Dixon, Kamran Mirzan, Mike Kelly

North: Andy Wood, Ben Young, Blyth Duncan Jnr, Darrell Sykes, Henry Wainman, Neil Prichard, James Foster, Alex Hopkins, Jake Oakes, Liam Backhurst, Falak Sher, William Baxter.
