Wales register double success
Wales Counties were in exceptional form, winning both games played against Midlands Counties at Luctonians CC.
Following the England and Wales game at Newport the week before, the weather at Luctonians on July 24 was superb with brilliant sunshine and a marvelous game for players and spectators.

Wales batted first and scored 79 runs for three in their 20 overs. Midlands in reply scored 43 runs for the loss of seven wickets as Wales won by 36 runs.
Cian Davies opened the innings for Wales and top scored with 53 not out, with seven fours, and proved the mainstay of his side’s total – with Chris Goddard taking 3-3 in three tight overs.
Phil Ramsbotham, batting at number nine, top scored for Midlands with 17, but his best support came from the extras (11), with Danny Baggott and Kevin Morris both taking two wickets.
Midlands batted first and scored 82 runs for eight in their 20 overs. In reply Wales scored the required runs in 16 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Phil Ramsbotham hit two fours in his top score of 20, Barney Davis adding 13 runs and John Foulks 11, with 27 extras in the 82-run total.
Cian Davies bagged 3-19 in his four overs, and his efforts helped Wales on their way to victory, with Rob Martin making 24 runs and Damian Halford 20. Davies chipped in also with 12 not out as his side won by seven wickets.
