Cricket in Merseyside

Visually impaired but always thought cricket would be too difficult or dangerous? Well, think again.

Two clubs in Merseyside are dedicated to providing specialist coaching and equipment for those with visual impairments, so why not pop along this summer?

Wirral Cricket Club is holding sessions every Thursday evening at their Clatterbridge ground. Contact Roger Lambourne for more details by calling 07850 506565 or email roger@globaltechuk.com.

Whitefield Cricket Club, based in Liverpool, are hosting two sessions for juniors on August 30 and September 6, starting at 10am. The club are also holding a family day on September 14 which will feature coaching and games for all ages. Please contact Ian Leather on ileathervicnorth@yahoo.co.uk or John Cole on 07979 606521 and j.cole@merseymail.com.
