1,000 clubs sign up for CricketForce
ECB has confirmed that 1,000 clubs have already registered to take part in NatWest CricketForce 2009 - with a record total now in prospect.
NatWest CricketForce 2008 attracted an event-best 1,375 clubs (225 up on 2007), 85,000 volunteers (5,000 up on 2007) and an estimated £35-£40 million in cash and kind (an increase of up to £5million on the previous year).
The total stood at 794 registered clubs in early January 2008, making a new CricketForce participation record a realistic possibility.
NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.
NatWest CricketForce 2009 will take place on the weekend of April 3, 4 and 5 2009 - and registrations are now live - so take two minutes now to register your club online!
