EWCT Interest Free Loan - Case Studies
The England and Wales Cricket Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme is open to ECB affilliated clubs with a junior section to assist in facilities development.
The following case studies demonstrate two diverse ways in which clubs have used the scheme to develop larger projects but the loan scheme is also flexible enough to cover smaller essential cricket developments such as sight screens, covers or even a new mower.

Stones CC are a rural West Yorkshire Club who have expanded dramatically through promoting junior cricket. The committee embarked on a four-year journey to significantly improve their pavilion in 2005 and the EWCT Interest Free Loan scheme provided a vital component of their funding.
They successfully engaged the community and also raised over £30,000 from events, £16,000 from local grants and an estimated £35,000 from in-kind labour and materials.
Cardiff CC formerly occupied Sophia Gardens and after making way for Glamorgan CCC they have gone onto develop their own ground with a state of the art pavilion.
The missing piece in the jigsaw was a high quality practice facility which could accomodate the rigours of a playing membership of over 200.
With the assistance of the EWCT Interest Free Loan Scheme they have gone onto build a successful facility which last year helped them win the Welsh Cup and Premier League.
Northop CC have been playing cricket in North Wales for over 130 Years. In 2010 they have undertaken a number of ground improvements under the auspices of Natwest CricketForce. One of their most significant improvements to care for their playing surface has been the purchase of new dome covers with the assistance of the EWCT Interest Free Loan Scheme.
