Q. Am I eligible for a grant or an interest free loan?
A. ECB Grant Aid is currently open to ECB affiliated cricket clubs who are ECB Clubmark Accredited and a Focus Club. Focus Clubs will need to have completed a Club Development Plan online using the ECB’s Club Development Planning System through www.play-cricket.com. The project you are applying for grant aid for will need to be referenced in your Club Development Plan.
The England and Wales Cricket Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme is open to ECB affiliated Clubs with a junior section for cricket related capital projects.
The ‘Go Green’ Club Fund is available to Clubs who registered for, and participated in, NatWest CricketForce 2008 for environmentally themed projects.
Q. What is a Focus Club, is my club a Focus Club, and if not how do we become one?
A. Focus Clubs are strategically selected by County Cricket Boards to act as their agents in delivering cricket development. A Focus Club works in partnerships with its local schools, community groups and business to develop primarily junior cricket. Focus Clubs in most instances will have signed an agreement with a County Board. If you are in any doubt then contact your local Cricket Development Manager or County Board
Q. What is ECB Clubmark and how do we get accredited?
A. ECB Clubmark is cricket’s Club Accreditation Scheme. It is a set of minimum quality standards that cricket clubs with a junior section can work towards and achieve demonstrating they are a safe, effective and child friendly cricket club.
