Latest NatWest CricketForce email update - January 10
This is a copy of the email sent to all registered NatWest CricketForce 2005 club contacts on January 10 2005:
Dear NatWest CricketForce club contact
Firstly, a very Happy New Year from all at the ECB, and all those involved in NatWest CricketForce 2005!
The great news is that your club is one of an ever-increasing band - as at the last count this week we had 385 clubs already registered with us via the internet as CricketForce participants. We're hoping that the number will just keep on rising over the coming weeks.
If you are one of the clubs to have registered with us since our first mailing in December, let us start by explaining that we will be sending out regular emails to all the clubs taking part in CricketForce keeping them up to date with the latest developments and information as we approach the big weekend in April.
NatWest CricketForce official logo
The official logo of NatWest CricketForce 2005 was released just before the Christmas break, and posted on the ECB website ecb.co.uk. If you go to the Resources page within the CricketForce section you will find a link to let you download and save a high-resolution version of the logo, which you can then use on your own websites, press releases, posters - and everything you produce related to the event.
You'll also find in that section a whole host of support documents and written materials that you can download to help you plan and put on your CricketForce event. These are based on those from the CricketForce DVD/CD-ROM pack, but have now been updated with the new logo branding for you.
Your latest NatWest CricketForce checklist
Some handy reference points for you from the CricketForce team to help you keep your planning on track:
- You should now have recruited your project team and have a good idea of the jobs that are required
- Team leaders should be now be in place and recruiting their own team to complete their job (internally and externally)
- The project team should now be approaching their own members, volunteer agencies, local businesses and local authorities to become involved (remember to ask for staff time/expertise, resources and materials rather than cash)
- Ask your members to ask at their own employers whether they operate a cash back scheme if staff from their company participate in NatWest CricketForce 2005
Looking the part for NatWest CricketForce
ECB are currently producing NatWest Cricket Force 2005 T-shirts - and will forward a quantity of them to you in mid-March.
If you can get your participants to wear them before and during the event it should help with team-building, photo opportunities for the local media and the general feel-good factor that will make CricketForce such a special weekend for all involved.
That's all for now - we'll be in touch with you again soon
Best wishes from the CricketForce team at the ECB
