Keedy and Chapple turn up trumps for Trimpell

Lancashire offered tickets and several pairs of helping hands as part of their 2008 NatWest CricketForce campaign which saw officials and players visit clubs across the county.

Gary Keedy and Glen Chapple went to Trimpell Cricket Club in Morecambe and delighted the colts by passing on a few tips and signing autographs.

The pair also helped out with the repairs to the ground and pavilion as scores of volunteers descended on the Club to complete the works ahead of the 2008 season.

Elsewhere, former Lancashire CCC chairman Jack Simmons teamed up with Luke Sutton, Oliver Newby and LCB director Andy Hayhurst at Whalley Cricket Club in Horwich while Tom Smith, Lancashire chief executive Jim Cumbes and Lancashire Girls under 15 player Olivia Marland went to Formby Cricket Club.

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson turned out to help at Bolton with Steven Mullaney and Steve Parry and youngsters Gareth Cross and Karl Brown headed off to Horwich.

Lancashire also supplied match day tickets, which were well received by the Clubs some of whom decided to use them as a raffle prize.
