Lancashire stars turn out in force
Sajid Mahmood and Glen Chapple will be among 12 Lancashire players who will hit the road on Saturday morning to support this year's NatWest CricketForce.
Fast bowler Mahmood, who has played eight Tests and 25 one-day internationals, will join fellow professionals Kyle Hogg, Stephen Parry and Steven Cheetham at Austerlands Cricket Club to help give the ground a makeover.
Lancashire captain Chapple will be at Preston Cricket Club along with team-mates Simon Kerrigan, Tom Smith and Karl Brown.
Further north, Gary Keedy will team up with Oliver Newby, Gareth Cross and Steven Mullaney to lend a hand at Thornton Cleveleys Cricket Club.
NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.
This year more than 1,500 clubs have signed up - comfortably a new record - and this weekend's event is likely to see more than 85,000 volunteers donate around £40m in cash and kind.
