Carsons & Mangotsfield CC held their NatWest CricketForce weekend on March 18-19 - ith help from a couple of visiting Gloucestershire players.

The weekend's aim involved moving all necessary equipment from their old ground off Sutherland Avenue to the new £2 million pound site at Pomphrey Hill - shared with Mangotsfield United FC, Bromley Heath FC, Downend Flyers Girls FC and Downend Amateur Boxing Club.

Andrew King from Carsons & Mangotsfield CC said: "Part of the challenge was to take down two sightscreens, move two rollers and an outfield cutter. This was all done along with moving pads, bats stumps, glasses, benches, tables and chairs - everything but the kitchen sink!

"We were joined by two Gloucestershire players, Jack Taylor and Chris Dent, who helped out on the day and were impressed by the new surroundings.

"Everyone at the club is looking forward to the new season and would like to thank Gloucesterhire and NatWest CricketForce for their help on the day along with South Gloucestershire council and the Fooball Foundation, who have made the new ground possible along with the commitment of members of the club."
