New NatWest CricketForce record

NatWest CricketForce 2010 will see a new record number of clubs participating in the annual volunteering initiative - with the 2009 total of 1,514 already surpassed, with two weeks still left for clubs to register.

As of today, there were already 1,520 clubs signed up to take part in the event - which is aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities - with registrations not due to close until March 22.

CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.

NatWest CricketForce 2010 weekend will kick-off with a showcase event at Harrow St Mary's CC in Middlesex on Friday March 26, with events of all sizes planned at clubs across England and Wales the following two days.
