NWCF aids Sibton Park
Sibton Park CC will be allowed to play in the Kent ECB Premier League after around 50 volunteers carried out a host of important tasks during NatWest CricketForce.
Among them was the job of erecting four new sightscreens, which were needed to meet the ground criteria.
The first XI will be playing in the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history come May after two consecutive championships wins.
The sightscreens were bought with help from Lyminge Parish Council, who provided a grant in recognition of the club's success in recent years.
Members also carried out work on the practice nets, painted the window frames and doors of the pavilion, various grass mowing and all the little jobs that have to be done to make the ground ready for cricket.
First XI captain Steve Hobbs said: "CricketForce day was a success on all fronts."
