Percy Main gets spruced up
[
Despite inclement weather, the Percy Main Cricket Club volunteers aided by a trio of helpers from NatWest spent the CricketForce weekend scraping, sweeping, painting, lifting, carrying and hammering.
The Northumberland club now has a new fence section and has enjoyed a face lift to the interior of the pavilion - except for the women's toilet which remains a 'work in progress'.

The sight-screens are also glistening in anticipation of the new season, the Club reported.

Ken Oliver was picked out for special thanks for all his preparation work while Blyth Duncan Snr was admired for doing a shift at his work on the Friday night - mid ground works - and Craig Hall praised for bringing some technical expertise to the Percy Main project
Howden Builders provided four fire doors FREE and Nick Jones, James Stanistreet and Andrew Smith dedicated many hours of service to getting the Club spruced up. Carol was tireless in her provision of sandwiches.
And the award for heroic act of the day went to Michael Boyd, who painted everything in sight despite still being on crutches!
