Clubs registering for NatWest CricketForce 2007 in the South and the London & East regions will go into a draw to have an England women's player visit their club – and have the chance to win a signed bat.

NatWest CricketForce 2007 weekend is March 31 and April 1, and the incentive is one of many aimed at rewarding the many clubs that register to take part.

Any club with a women's or girls' section in the two regions, which has registered for NatWest CricketForce 2007 by Wednesday February 28, will go into a draw.

Two clubs will be drawn out for each region – the first receiving a visit from an England women's player and an England women's signed bat for the club. The second drawn out will receive a England women's signed bat.

Women’s regional cricket manager for London & East, Gary Lambert, said: “Hopefully the local press will be invited to attend whilst the player is in attendance to help to promote women's and girls' cricket at the club.

“We're doing the draw early so that the club can be notified and the player attending can be promoted before the event to help attract more locals to attend the club.”

The counties covered by the two regions are as follows:

Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Wiltshire.

London and East

Kent, Middlesex, Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Surrey, Sussex.

NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.

Your club can take part and reap the benefits: all you have to do is to register online with ECB right now!
