Temporary use bans lifted
Last week saw four water companies (South East Water, Sutton and East Surrey Water, Veolia Central and Veolia South East) join Thames Water, Southern Water and Anglian Water in lifting their temporary use bans.
This means that all restrictions have been lifted across the South and South East.
The continued rainfall, active customer help in reducing demand, the effects of the temporary restrictions and unprecedented levels of recharge have all combined to allow for this recovery.
Although these restrictions have been lifted, the water industry will continue to work on the issues of water efficiency, water resource and demand management.
