Upper Haugh CC record-breaking NWCF club for 2009
Upper Haugh CC in Yorkshire become the 1376th ECB affiliated club to register for NatWest CricketForce 2009.
The ECB focus club, which has entered its 151st year, will be undertaking mammoth tasks such as building a new pavilion, converting their old one into five dressing rooms and setting up a new community function room during their NatWest CricketForce weekend, April 3 – 5.
It has a vibrant youth section with over 75 boys and girls including Yorkshire Under 17 player Katie Lewick.
Stephen Sigsworth, of Upper Haugh CC, said: "We want to take the club to another level, where we have modern changing rooms for all sections in the club and also with the new community function room, provide ourselves with additional funding throughout the year."
NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake major renovations to clubhouses and grounds.
