Get Into Cricket
To encourage new people to try cricket, lapsed players to pick up a bat again and existing players to play more the below will give you some ideas of how, when and where you can play cricket in a way that suits you.
There are lots of different playing opportunities for all ages and abilities, these include club cricket, indoor cricket and new shorter formats of the game:
If playing is not for you, get your buzz from cricket by supporting other areas of the game:
- coaching cricket
- umpiring or scoring cricket
- volunteer for your local cricket club - investigate the numerous benefits to be gained by donating some of your time
- teaching and using cricket in the classroom
If you have any queries you should contact the Cricket Development Staff at your local County Board
The ECB's Development staff within the Cricket Department has overall responsibility for developing cricket activity in schools and clubs in England and Wales.
The County Cricket Boards are the mechanism to deliver these initiatives.
