Introduction
The NatWest Inter Cricket Awards have been launched to give young players a fun, game-based Awards programme to take part in, based upon on-going improvement and progression.
With five Award Levels (1 through 5), the Awards provide a fun and challenging framework through which young players can improve their athletic, cricket and team based skills.
Who can take part?
The Awards are designed for young players as they move from a soft to hard ball version of the sport. Young players don’t have to be a specific age to take these Awards however it roughly targeted at the 8-13 age group dependent on their skills development.
What do the NatWest Inter Cricket Awards cover?
The Awards cover all of the fundamental skills of the game and young players will progress through the five levels of Awards from Level 1 through Level 5 as they improve.
Level 1 and Level 2 are primarily focused on athlete development with agility, balance and co-ordination being key criteria for achieving the Awards up to Level’s 4 and 5 which are more tightly focused on technical ability.
NatWest Inter Cricket Award
Upon achieving each Level of the Awards each young player will receive a wrist band (right), certificate and sticker, branded with the NatWest Inter Cricket Awards level that they have achieved; each Awards level will be branded differently.
Where can I take part in the Awards?
The NatWest Inter Cricket Awards will initially be run at Focus Club Community Clusters and Focus Club Community School Clusters.
