Here's the latest news and information bulletin from CricketForce HQ as we move into the final month leading up to the big day!

NatWest involvement

Please, please do not contact NatWest branches directly with regards to their cash back scheme. NatWest have promoted the scheme internally to employees that volunteer to become involved in NatWest CricketForce 2005. Already 24 NatWest Staff have volunteered to date, with 10 of these accessing the cash back scheme (worth £2,500 into clubs).

This is being coordinated centrally by NatWest and ECB - so please don't contact local branches for requests for staff involvement and sponsorship as they will not be able to help you.

News round-up

We now have a mammoth 626 registered clubs set to participate in NatWest CricketForce 2005. That equates to around 50,000 volunteers involved in the event, bringing a £15 million in kind contribution to clubs (in terms of staff, materials, resources, volunteers).
The first 500 clubs who registered are set to receive 24 T-shirts, a clock to put up in their pavilion and a commemorative plaque to fix in a prominent position at the club.
Wirksworth CC from Derbyshire have been judged as the recipients of the new kitchen offered free of charge by Magnet, to be presented as an innovation award. Congratulations to them!
In addition please make clubs aware that we are finalising a short evaluation sheet for clubs to complete after the event and we see this as a crucial piece of information which we will use to encourage further funding and resources into club cricket in the future.

Cares is the main business led employee volunteering programme in the UK - a Business in the Community initiative. Employees give their time and skills to the communities in which they live and work.
