NatWest CricketForce 2006 - Best Practice - Tynemouth CC

The community converges on Tynemouth CC for their Inter Cricket Festival 2006

Tynemouth CC’s project is a fine example of best practice for NatWest CricketForce - on a grand scale.

The total value of the project is estimated to be £250,000. Work began back in August 2005 and was scheduled to finish on NatWest CricketForce 2006 weekend.

A total number of 155 volunteers worked together to complete the project.

These are some of the things the club physically achieved in the process:

Inside a toilet pre-CricketForce

New Roof on the pavilion, extended lounge, extended bar, new kitchen, retiled showers and toilets, new disabled toilet, disabled ramp, new heating system, new air conditioning, new electrics, double glazed pavilion, decorated throughout, new carpets and flooring, groundsman's office created, painted fence, all pre-season work for start of season.

Huge publicity, increased sponsorship, new members, brought club together especially junior and senior sections, more skills from parents as volunteers, increased bar revenue, better supported events.

A shining toilet facility, displaying the benefits of the free tiling from Official Supporter of NatWest CricketForce, H & R Johnson

Develop a second ground on waste land next to the club by creating a five strip square and changing area. Expanding the club as a community facility for other groups to use. Resurfacing of approach road to the ground.
