NatWest’s sponsorship of NatWest CricketForce has won the Best Campaign in Grassroots Sport at the prestigious Hollis Sponsorship Awards 2006.
In 2005, 665 cricket clubs across the country took part in the scheme and more than 50,000 volunteers participated contributing an estimated £15m of investment.
And with NatWest CricketForce 2006 due on April 8/9, more than 1,000 clubs across the country have already committed to taking part.
Cockspur were also shortlisted for the Grassroots award for their sponsorship of The Cockspur Cup, cricket’s national knockout competition, won in 2005 by Horsham.
NatWest made it an award double when they scooped the Continuity Award for their 25 Years in Cricket campaign throughout 2005.
Another of ECB’s commercial partners, npower, were shortlisted for the Sports Sponsorship award for their npower Ashes Test Series 2005 campaign.
Betfair won the Media Sponsorship award for their broadcast coverage of the Ashes 2005 coverage on Channel 4.
