NatWest CricketForce 2007 proved to be a huge success for Wickford Cricket Club in Essex, with over 100 club members, their families and many more from the local community volunteering to take part.
Wickford councilors Michael Mowe, Malcolm & Sylvia Buckley and local youth offenders also volunteered.
All ages were represented and everyone helped in whichever job needed doing from painting 106 fences around the ground, painting the complete inside and out of the cricket pavilion, sightscreens, protective nets to the housing backing onto the ground, road leveling to the club and much more.
Most of the materials used over the NatWest CricketForce weekend were donated from local businesses; Homebase, Chris DIY, Fred’s Timber Yard and many more.
