All of Sussex’s staff, from players to board members, will take part in NatWest CricketForce on Saturday.

Four clubs across the county - Crowhurst Park CC, Barcombe CC, Battle CC and Hailsham CC - will benefit from the annual event with the dual aim to rejuvenate playing facilities and recruit much-needed volunteers.

Tim Shutt, Sussex’s head of cricket development, said: “Sussex County Cricket Club takes NatWest CricketForce very seriously, as it is a great opportunity to show support to local clubs. The club is very aware of the invaluable role local clubs play in the wider cricketing world and in their local communities.

“The scope of the scheme itself should not be underestimated with many clubs completing essential and often significant tasks and projects, and recruiting new volunteers from their local communities. It is often the perfect curtain-raiser for the season.”
