Former Zimbabwe bowler Henry Olonga and Kent batsman Matt Walker will give talks as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the county’s study centre on Friday.
The charity, Kent Spitfires Study Centre, will mark a decade of helping local children with lunch at the county’s Canterbury home - starting at 12pm.
Olonga, who is in exile in England after making a stand against Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe's regime, will give insights into his fascinating life story which includes his work as a singer.
Walker has been with Kent for 13 years and will share his great sense of humour in an entertaining talk.
The pair’s advice on getting to the top of their professions are relevant to the business and sport communities alike.
The charity aims to give children the best chance in life. It works with schools to improve pupils' self esteem, motivation and basic skills. All the county team are involved in its activities.
