Bourne identified as Timson successor
Michael Bourne has been appointed as the ECB’s new Head of Sport Science and Medicine based at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough University. He replaces Simon Timson.

Broad out of India T20s
Stuart Broad has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match T20 series against India with a bruised left heel. Broad will return to the UK immediately to begin a period of rest and rehabilitation. He has been replaced by James Harris.

Charlotte Edwards has been named as captain of a 15-strong England squad for the ICC Women's World Cup to be held in India in February.

ECB has announced the appointment of former England international and Warwickshire Director of Cricket Ashley Giles as England ODI and T20 Head Coach. Flower will remain as England Team Director.

England squads for India T20 and ODI series
England selectors have named a 13-man squad for the two-match T20 series against India next month as well as a squad for the five-match ODI series against India in January. Stuart Meaker is the only uncapped T20 member.

England women to welcome Australia
England women will play one Ashes Test match, a NatWest Women’s Series and a NatWest Women’s International T20 Series against Australia in 2013.

The ECB has announced the fixtures for the 2013 county season, with the first round of LV= County Championship matches starting on Wednesday 10 April.

Birks takes top prize
The England and Wales Cricket Board has confirmed the 2012 Groundsman of the Year Awards. Steve Birks from Trent Bridge is the winner of the four-day category with Stuart Kerrison from Chelmsford taking the runner-up prize.
