England and Wales Cricket Board are delighted to confirm that adidas will be the official kit supplier to the England team from April 2008.
International Brand Licensing Plc (IBL) has announced that it has entered into an agreement with the ECB and ‘a third party’ for an early termination of the Admiral kit sponsorship.
ECB would like to put on record its gratitude to Admiral for their support during the last five years.
John Perera, ECB commercial director, said: "Admiral has been an outstanding partner for the ECB and the England team during what has been an unrivalled period of success.
"Admiral will continue as official kit supplier to the England team and be the official licensed product supplier until March 31, 2008.
"The reputation and standing of adidas in the field of kit manufacturer and supplier is world class.
"I know that everyone in the England team and at the ECB is looking forward to working with such an outstanding kit supplier."
England captain Michael Vaughan said: "The England team are delighted at the prospect of working with adidas in the future.
"Their reputation is second to none. We would also like to thank Admiral for their excellent contribution during the last five years."
The new adidas England kit will be worn for the first time in the 2008 home series against New Zealand.
