The ECB held a consultative meeting with 56 representatives of the first-class game and the PCA today including county chairmen, chief executives and directors of cricket to discuss the domestic schedule for 2011.

The meeting, which was attended by ECB chairman Giles Clarke and chief executive David Collier, provided an opportunity for ECB’s key stakeholders to discuss a variety of different options for the scheduling of domestic cricket next season.

The decision on the playing programme for 2011 will be made by the ECB management board at its next scheduled meeting on Wednesday.
