David Collier confirmed that the ECB has made a donation to the flood relief programme "as an expression of our support"

The ECB today pledged continued support to those affected by the current flooding in Australia.

ECB chief executive David Collier said: “All cricket supporters who have visited Australia on the Ashes tour wish to extend our sympathy to the people of Australia affected by the extreme flooding.

“To augment the collection taken during the recent KFC Twenty20 international series, the ECB has made a donation to the flood relief programme as an expression of our support to the thousands of Australians impacted by this disaster.

“We will continue to support Cricket Australia in their activity to raise funds for the flood appeal throughout the current Commonwealth Bank one-day series.”
