ECB launch 'One Game' display

The launch marks the culmination of a two-year project organised by ECB together with experiential marketing agency RPM to depict the diversity of the sport within a specially commissioned ‘One Game’ book.

Shoppers can view the gallery of images and sign the ‘One Game’ pledge from tomorrow when the display begins for a two-week period which co-incides with the start of England’s npower Ashes Test Series against Australia at Cardiff next Wednesday.

Devised in 2007, the ‘One Game’ project aims to widen the appeal of cricket and ensure as many people as possible are welcomed into the game regardless of age, race, ability or gender.

Peter Ackerley, ECB Head of Development, commented: “The ‘One Game’ project is designed to make the sport as inclusive as possible and reaches out to all levels - from the playground through to our international teams, from players through to volunteers and fans.

“It’s all part of our ongoing efforts to make people feel welcome and part of the wider cricket family and to share the passion and pride of those already involved in the game.”

Representatives from the following departments of the ECB - Disability Cricket, Women’s and Girl’s Cricket, Twelfth Man, The Great Exhibition and Young Officials – will be attending the event at Westfield Shopping Centre which runs until 17th July.
