The England selectors today named an unchanged XI for the third npower Test at the Brit Insurance Oval, commencing on Wednesday.

England will look to go into the game with the same team that beat Pakistan by nine wickets in the second Test at Edgbaston last week.

Tim Bresnan, who will play for Yorkshire in the LV= County Championship clash with Durham at Chester-le-Street from tomorrow, will join the England team on Tuesday as bowling cover before returning to play for Yorkshire on Wednesday, provided he is not required.

National selector Geoff Miller said: "We were delighted with the way the team performed at Edgbaston in the second Test.

"To put together dominant performances in back-to-back Test matches is a credit to the team's hard work, but the key remains consistency throughout the duration of the series.

"Tim Bresnan hasn't been named in the squad but will provide bowling cover just prior to the Test starting before returning to play for Yorkshire in their LV= County Championship match against Durham."
