Gale penalised for dissent
The England and Wales Cricket Board today confirmed that Yorkshire’s Andrew Gale has received a penalty under the ECB’s discipline code.
During the Friends Life t20 match between Yorkshire and Durham on June 15 2012, Gale was reported by Peter Willey and David Millns for a Level One breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action).
Gale has received a reprimand. The penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an automatic suspension.
