Goddard punished for dissent
The England and Wales Cricket Board today confirmed that Lee Goddard has received a penalty under the ECB’s discipline code.
Goddard was reported by umpires Michael Harris and Hugh Evans for a Level One breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action) following an incident in Durham’s Second XI Championship match against Lancashire on July 1-3, 2009.
This penalty remains on Goddard’s record for a period of two years. Any further Level One breach during that period will result in an automatic imposition of three penalty points.
