Given that no action seems likely on my previous suggestion and that the intention is to try and ensure that a non-draw is the favoured result can more consideration be given to making up time lost during a game?
My suggestion is that at the end of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day AND at the beginning of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th days the hours of play can be extended by half an hour ( 8 overs).

I fully support the change to 16 points for a win and the reduction of the 'bonus point overs' to 110 (I wrote a couple of years ago suggesting a reduction from 130 to 115).
However, I think teams suffering significant interruptions to play are at a disadvantage with the award of only 3 points for a draw. For a game where a full days play is lost (measured as 25% ot the total overs able to be bowled in the game) then I suggest 5 points would be fairer. Similarly if half the game or more is lost then I would suggest 7 points per team would be fairer. Otherwise a team suffering a couple of badly weather affected matches could quickly find themselves too far distant in the table from teams able to complete their games. Hence a lot of competitive interest could be lost from the Championship.
