Timson joins ECB staff
The England and Wales Cricket Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Timson as science & medicine manager.
He will be responsible for the standardisation, development and management of all ECB sports science and medicine services and the delivery of the ‘ECB Science and Medicine Strategy
He will have line management responsibility for all science and medicine support staff engaged by the ECB in the England team, the England women’s team, the ECB National Academy and the England junior teams.
ECB director of England cricket John Carr said: “Simon is exceptionally well qualified for this important new role and we are delighted that he will be joining the ECB management team at the start of July.
“He has enjoyed considerable success in the role of performance director for the British Bob Skeleton Association and he is also a highly regarded sports psychologist and physiologist with a wealth of experience working with elite sportsmen and women and support teams in a wide variety of sports including cricket.”
