Women pay tribute to Collins

Former player Audrey Collins, left, will be remembered by the England and India players in Bangalore tomorrow
At the start of the first ODI between India and England women on Friday February 19 in Bangalore there will be a one minute silence in memory of Audrey Collins OBE, who died at the age of 94 this week.
Audrey played her first women’s cricket match aged 12 and went on to represent a number of women’s teams, most prominently Middlesex women and South women, before playing her one and only official Test against Australia in the 1937 Ashes.
Audrey was a towering figure of women’s cricket in England and championed the cause of the women’s game, as an administrator through the Women’s Cricket Association .
As a mark of respect the England team will also play in black armbands.
