Yardy earns incremental contract

Michael Yardy's appearances in the ICC World Twenty20 have helped him qualify for an incremenetal contract for 2009-10
Michael Yardy has earned an incremental contract for 2009-10 after playing the required amount of games for England.
The Sussex all-rounder forged an important partnership with off-spinner Graeme Swann during the victorious ICC World Twenty20 campaign and is now part of England's side in the NatWest Series.
He qualifies for an incremental contract by virtue of having played seven Twenty20 international matches and three one-day internationals for England, including today's NatWest Series ODI against Australia at Cardiff.
Non-contracted players can earn an England incremental contract via a points system. Five points are awarded for a Test appearance and two for a T20 or ODI appearance, with an contract being awarded automatically once a player reaches 20 points during the 12-month contract period.
