Andy Nash - ECB Board member - chairman of Somerset CCC
Andy Nash was appointed Deputy Chairman of Somerset County Cricket Club in 2004 and was elected to succeed Giles Clarke OBE in 2008. In April 2013 he was elected to serve a three-year term on the ECB's Main Board.
Andy began his business career with Cadbury Schweppes and also worked in the pharmaceutical and drinks industries. He was a leader of the Taunton Cider Management Buyout which was one of the first big private equity deals in the UK.
Following the flotation of the company and its eventual acquisition he has served since as the chairman of a number of other companies operating in the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia. He also mentors start-ups and young entrepreneurs.
His main leisure interests are skiing, tennis and bike rides for charity. In recent years he has cycled around the perimeter of Zanzibar, the length of the Outer Hebrides and completed a London to Paris expedition.
He has written two business books on private equity and recently published a cricket book entitled 'A Year in the Life of Somerset County Cricket Club'.
Andy is married with four children and lives in Somerset.
