Bob Jackson - ECB board member - secretary of Durham Cricket Board
Bob Jackson has been an ECB Director since 1997 and was previously Deputy Chairman of the National Cricket Association.
He is currently Deputy Chairman of the Recreational Assembly and has been Chairman of Lintz Cricket Cricket club in the Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League for 35 years.
A retired senior personnel manager with British Coal, Bob has been a Director of Durham County Cricket Club since 1991 and was the Club Chairman from 2002-to 2004.
He was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List in 2011.
It was announced in March 2014 announced that Bob was to stand down and that a ballot would be held to determine his successor.
ECB Chairman Giles Clarke said: “Since he first joined ECB as a founding member of our Board in 1997, Bob has been a great champion of the recreational game and with the tremendous support of his wife Maureen, has given over 30 years of yeoman service to cricket in the North-East.
“He is also someone who cares passionately about county cricket and as a former Chairman of Durham County Cricket Club, he can reflect with great pride on the huge strides forward the club has taken in the last two decades.
“On behalf of all my fellow ECB Board Directors I would like to offer our sincere thanks for his outstanding contribution, and, as a dedicated advocate of the recreational game, he now has the immense pleasure of seeing the large investments in recreational cricket bearing fruit."
