Frequently Asked Questions

Q When will dates for a future England tour be announced?
A There is no pre-scheduled date for the announcement of tour itineraries. All tour schedules are released once they have been confirmed with the home Board - but we are unable to say in advance when that will be. We confirm and post ticket information for home and away series as soon as it is available too.

Q Where are England touring in future years, and who is touring here?
A You can find details of all England's forthcoming tours in our future tours section - and also a list of the future tourists to England.

Q How can I get tickets for the Ashes in 2009?
A For full details on how to get tickets for England v Australia in the npower Ashes Test Series in 2009 - please see our special section

Q Can you send us some team sheets for use in club cricket, or can we get themselves ourselves online?
A Yes, these are now available to download here on ecb.co.uk - see ECB Team Sheet cards to download

Q What are the numbers featured on the England players' shirts below the three lions emblem - what do they signify and where can I find a list?
A Please see the England player numbers page - they represent the order in which they made their debut for England in Tests or ODIs

Q How do I watch video of England internationals?
A Go to our new ECBtv site - we hope you enjoy it! For more information about subscriptions to ECBtv please email our helpdesk at customerservices@premiumtv.co.uk

Q Can you get me some signed England memorabilia please for a special occasion?
A We have a limited supply of signed England bats and other memorabilia every year, which are used for charitable purposes. You can email us via feedback@ecb.co.uk detailing the cause you would like us to help, but sadly we cannot guarantee to help every charitable cause or fundraising event. We are not able to supply signed memorabilia for members of the public for general collections, or weddings or birthdays. You can buy the latest cricket photographs from our official photo store

Q I want to come and play cricket for a club in England. Can ECB help me?
A ECB can't provide any direct help on that front. If you're able to come and legally live/work in the UK then you would be free to play cricket at whatever level best suits. You could use the Play-Cricket - Cricket Exchange as a way of trying to find a club. Or if you are settled in England or Wales you can make direct contact with your local Cricket Development Managers who would be able to help you locate a club in your area. To progress and play for England you also need to be qualified to do so - please see related info at Directives - Work Permit Criteria

Q I am interested in sponsorship opportunities with the ECB, who should I contact in order to pursue this?
A Please contact the ECB Commercial Department on +44 (0)20 7432 1200

Q How do I buy tickets for England matches?
A Please go to our Tickets information page.

Q How can I receive ECB press releases?
A If you represent a bona fide media organisation or are a recognised cricket journalist, to be added to the ECB press release mailing list, simply send an e-mail request through to help@ecb.co.uk with your full details.

Q I want to listen to live audio coverage of England internationals?
A Please go to ECBtv and follow links from there.

Q I am interested in becoming a cricket coach and would like further information on the courses and qualifications available?
A Please see our coaching section for further details and contacts.

Q I want to start playing cricket - who can help me?
A The ECB has a network of Cricket Development Managers around the country - they can give you advice and put you in touch with a local club, whether you are a boy, girl or adult player. You might find your local club by using the ECB's cricket network www.play-cricket.com and kids might also be interested in learning about Kwik Cricket and Inter Cricket.

Q I am a student doing a project on cricket, sport sponsorship, sport funding or similar issues - and wonder if the ECB has any information it can send me?
A Unfortunately, ECB does not have any specific information available to supply to students - and we may not be able to respond to your request individually. However, there is a lot of information on this website that should be able to help you, such as ECB's Publications and Resources
