The Board of the ECB ACO proposes an increase in the annual Membership Subscription as detailed below to be effective from the 1st January 2011.
Young Official (U25)
Statement from the ECB ACO Board
The ECB has over the past two years underwritten the ECB ACO shortfall by £188,000 in 2009 and by an anticipated amount of £210,000 in the current year.
These amounts do not include staff salaries for the executive team or expenditure on office costs.
In this stringent economic climate the Board considers it unreasonable to expect the ECB to make ever increasing funding contributions to the ACO without some response from its membership.
It should be noted that in 2007 a full membership subscription for ACU&S was £30 and that since then Members of ECB ACO have benefited from a reduced subscription.
In addition, of the ECB ACO subscription of £20 a rebate of £4 per member has been returned to County Boards for their County Association.
The Membership Services Committee has recommended the increases as detailed above and the ACO Board fully supports the recommendations.
This matter will be proposed at the AGM at which the vote will be taken. If you have any specific comments please contact your regional representatives who will be attending.
