Hawk-Eye comes to Headingley
Cricket fans in Yorkshire will get the chance to listen to an expert lecture and panel discussion on Hawk-Eye technology on Tuesday July 20th.
Paul Hawkins, the inventor of the ball-tracking technology which is used widely by the media and officials in cricket, will deliver a lecture and interactive demonstration about the system.
Hawkins will then join BBC Test Match Special commentator Jonathan Agnew, former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott and current ICC Elite Umpire Ian Gould on a panel to answer questions from the audience.
The event is being organised by the MCC after successful Hawk-Eye lectures in May at Lord’s.
It will be held at 7pm on the eve of the second MCC Spirit of Cricket Test between Pakistan and Australia at Headingley. Tickets cost £20 and could be bought online.
