Your comments
It was an extreme pleasure to have known Robbie and to have benefitted from his enourmous knowledge of the laws of the great game. He got me through my first examinations and was instrumental in me becoming a Senior Instructor with the old ACU&S. On my promotion to the First Class Reserve List he was one of the first who telephoned me with congratulations and similarly with commiserations when I came off!!! One of the few people in life who you ever heard a bad word about. He was a stalwart in cricketing circles here in Merseyside and his kindly words and sage advice will be sorely missed. He touched a lot of peoples lives did Robbie and it was a great shame that his services to cricket were never recognised with the honours that it deserved. I for one, like a great deal of others, held him in the highest regard. I have the faith to believe that he'll be explaning the "injured striker has a runner" secenario to his soul mates in heaven!!! Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again.
