The ECB/PCA Personal Development & Welfare Team
Kate Green - National Lead and responsibility for England, England Performance Programme and England Under-17 teams.
Purdy Miller – Responsible for England Under-19s and England women’s programmes.
The Personal Development & Welfare Programme is a joint venture between the ECB and Professional Cricketers' Association.
Kate and Purdy work directly with players on England programmes and liaise with the personal development managers who work for the PCA who deliver to the First Class Counties.
As a team we work in the environment to best support and challenge those individuals to develop the personal and professional skills needed to enable them to excel and perform within and outside cricket.
It is a personalised support service which recognises that cricket is likely to be the main focus in a player's life.
The ECB/PCA Personal Development & Welfare Programme is a nationwide, seamless, continual support throughout the elite player pathway in English cricket.
It supports transitions, ensures review of learning and personal development (induction/exit points) and empowers and develops players and coaches to be acutely aware of what it takes to be sustainably and consistently able to perform in relation to expectations within these seven key areas:
• Elite Player Preparation
• Personal Wellbeing & Welfare Support
• Self Awareness & management
• Interpersonal skill development
• Transitional Support
• Experiential Learning
• Dual Aspirations Support
