The Personal Development & Welfare Programme is a joint venture between the ECB & Professional Cricketers Association.

It is a personalised support service which recognizes that cricket is likely to be the main focus in a player's life. The ECB/PCA Personal Development & Welfare Programme is a nationwide seamless continual support throughout the Elite player pathway in English cricket that supports transitions, ensures review of learning and personal development (induction/exit points,) and empowers and develops players and coaches to be acutely aware of what it takes to be sustainably and consistently able to perform in relation to expectations within these six key areas:

  • Professional Player Preparation
  • Personal Welfare Support
  • Self Awareness & management
  • Interpersonal skill development
  • Transitional Support
  • Experiential Learning
  • Dual Aspirations Support

As a team we will be the ECB/PCA Personal Development Coaches who work in the environment to best support & challenge those individuals to develop the personal & professional skills needed to enable them to excel and perform within and outside cricket.
