Martin joins ECB ranks

The England and Wales Cricket Board are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Martin as national disability cricket manager.

His role will be to oversee the development of all aspects of disability cricket in England and Wales and the overall management of the England blind, deaf and learning disability international teams.

Martin joins the ECB with a wealth of disability sport experience gained through his previous employment with Disability Sport Wales.

He is a member of the ECB’s disability management committee and has been a member of the executive committee of the British association for cricketers with disabilities, most recently as chairman.

ECB’s head of development, Pete Ackerley said: “We are delighted that Ian has joined our team and his appointment in the role of disability cricket manager further highlights ECB’s commitment to providing the opportunity for all members of our society to enjoy the game.

“The introduction of a full time disability cricket manager further enhances our position as the world’s leading governing body in the development of cricket for people with disabilities.”
