The ECB announced in March 2012 it had appointed Stowford Press as ‘The Official Cider of England Cricket’ in a new three-year deal with the Herefordshire-based company Westons Cider.
The agreement enables Westons Cider to promote Stowford Press at all England’s home international matches as well as undertake a range of wider commercial activity to maximise the sponsorship.
It starts with England v West Indies at Lord’s in the first Investec Test match (May 17-21) and is scheduled to run until the end of the 2014 home international season.
ECB commercial director John Perera said: "Westons Cider will be an excellent addition to our family of official ECB sponsors and suppliers.
“We will be working closely with their commercial team over the next three years to help achieve increased exposure for Stowford Press through their association with the world's number-one-ranked Test side."
Helen Thomas, managing director of Westons Cider, said: “We are delighted that Stowford Press has been selected to be The Official Cider of England Cricket.
“The Westons Cider ethos centres around tradition, quality and heritage and with cricket being deeply rooted in England’s sporting history, we feel the association sits perfectly.”
